Snow Record ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

A. Location Data (GPS) To provide the core features of the App (tracking skiing/snowboarding runs, calculating speed, and mapping routes), we collect precise location data from your device.

Background Tracking: We collect location data even when the App is closed or not in use (background mode). This is necessary to record your riding stats while your phone is in your pocket.
Storage: Detailed location logs (GPS tracks) are stored locally on your device and backed up to your personal iCloud. We do not upload your raw GPS tracks to our external servers.

B. Motion & Sensor Data We access your device’s sensors (Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer/Altimeter) to calculate vertical drop, detect lift rides, and analyze riding styles (e.g., Technical Score).

C. Personal Information When you choose to participate in the Global Leaderboard or use cloud features, we may collect:

Account Info: Your User ID, Nickname, and Profile Picture (via Apple Sign In).
Leaderboard Data: Summarized statistics (e.g., Total Distance, Max Speed, Badges, Tier).

D. Usage Data (Analytics) We use third-party tools (Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics) to collect anonymous usage data, such as app crashes, session duration, and feature usage, to improve app stability and performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

To record and visualize your skiing/snowboarding activities.
To generate "Digital Tickets" and photos for you to share.
To display your ranking on the Global Leaderboard (only if you opt-in).
To fix bugs and improve the App experience.
